Zermatt is a car-free village.
Access for private traffic is allowed up to the village of Täsch, which is about 5 km away. The road Täsch-Zermatt is closed for public traffic. If you have any questions about your arrival, we will be happy to help you.

Arrival by car
By car you can drive to the village of Täsch, which is about five km from Zermatt. There are various parking facilities to leave your car there during your holiday.

You can also park your car at our partner hotel, the "Matterhorn Inn "in Täsch. These are outdoor parking spaces and are not covered. Reservation in advance is not possible and depending on availability you can use them at a special price.
Matterhorn Inn
Please sign up at the reception of the Matterhorn Inn for a parking voucher upon arrival and then continue to Zermatt by train or by cab (for an additional charge). For the onward journey Täsch-Zermatt, the train takes about 12 minutes and runs every 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, you can call one of the cab companies in Täsch, which will then drive you to the entrance of Zermatt within 10 minutes.
Arrival by train
If you travel by train, you have daily train connections from all surrounding airports from 06 o'clock in the morning until about midnight, which will bring you to the final stop Zermatt.
Once you arrive at the Zermatt train station, you can use the electric cab from the Alpen Resort Hotel between 07 and 21 o'clock for a fee. For direct bookers this service is free of charge. Just give us a call and we will be happy to pick you up.
SBB luggage special
This summer, SBB is again offering a Luggage Special. Until the 31st of October 2021 you can benefit from free transport in selected hotels, within Switzerland - and the Alpen Resort Hotel and the apartments in the Residence Patricia are participating!
